Men’s Fashion – Belts and Braces

August 16th, 2011

Men’s accessories are an important consideration for men’s fashion as accessories can make or break an outfit, choosing the right accessories can individualize an outfit and set you apart from the crowd. Ties, tie bars, cufflinks and pocket squares are all great accessories, but when considering trousers, do you opt for a belt or braces.

As well as having a functional and essential role of holding up your trousers, belts and braces, known as suspenders in the United States, can make great accessories to enhance and individualize your look with a splash of color or by adding some personality to your outfit, as well as fulfilling their practical role

There are a few simple style rules for belts, which are very easy to remember, Your belt should always match the color of your shoes, black shoes will require a black belt and brown shoes a brown belt, if you can’t match them up then the best advice is not wear a belt at all as the colors will clash, look awful and make you stand out for all the wrong reasons. For a formal occasion opt for a thinner, preferably black belt with a small buckle, and generally avoid large buckles especially large novelty buckles altogether, whatever the occasion and even if you are wearing casual clothes or jeans.

Braces have recently become very popular and they offer a great alternative to a belt and a they can be a great accessory which can personalize your look. If you haven’t worn braces before they are perfect for both formal and casual wear and are available in both button down and clip on styles. Plain, neutral colors, such as black or navy, are very safe as they will compliment most clothes in your existing wardrobe. When opting for braces also consider your own body type, if you are a taller or thinner build opt for the thinner styles, while a broader person should opt for the wider style of braces.

Braces are perfect accessories for a suit and can be worn for the office, simply match the color of your suit to be safe, and you will have an instant smart and fashionable look, the braces will look great if you remove your jacket too. Braces will look equally as good with casual outfits, even jeans and for an even more casual look .  Which ever way you wear your belts or braces, and you can be very creative, they will allow you to have an individualized and very stylish look at little extra expense. » Read more: Men’s Fashion – Belts and Braces

Men certainly are trying to keep pace with women when it comes to accessories and fashion. Unfortunately men’s accessories are not as wide-ranging as women’s. Cuff links, rings, chains are most commonly used accessories among men. However, the really stylish also wear earrings and bracelets. Fashion designers too tend to overlook these things. But men’s fashion accessories certainly make a style statement and add a dash of sophistication to casual and formal wear.

There are a few accessories which all men need: A simple belt – casual as well as a formal one that goes well with your clothes and your style is mandatory for men. Men’s belts are generally made of leather and have a small buckle attached it. The belt usually measures 3 cm or less. Unless it is a jeans belt that is broad with flashy buckles

A black belt is an essential part of a men’s wardrobe as it becomes easy to pair it with black formal shoes. It is better to find belts that can be reversed and worn both ways. A combination of black and brown with chrome buckle would be perfect.

For formal men’s fashion wear accessories like cuff links and matching tie is a must. In the past men had to strictly stick to formal wear while working, but with changes in time casual wear has replaced formal wear at the place of work. Ties with loud patterns must be avoided as it does not suit all occasions. A stripped tie preferably in navy blue or burgundy is an essential part of men’s fashion accessories.

A chrome cuff link not only looks sleek and elegant but also goes well with any tie. Cuff links in ovals, circular and square shapes look the best. It is an accessory which men cannot ignore.

Bags are also a part of men’s accessories. Today designs for men’s bags come in stylish patterns. Messenger bags go along well both with causal and formal wear. Those travelling can carry the backpack. Since the briefcase has become outdated do not bother to possess one. A black or brown messenger bag made from leather or nylon is considered versatile.

Buy Men’s Fashion Online – Pros and Cons

August 15th, 2011

The online shopping was a very unusual thing not that long ago and only few people were buying their clothes and other things online. But with world wide web growing so fast it’s becoming more and more popular amongst people. As every coin has two sides so it is with online shopping and it is the same story if you would like to buy men’s fashion online.

I’m pretty sure that those of you who tried to shop on internet before, enjoyed many of its advantages, but came across some difficulties or downright problems. As it is in our lives with almost everything, the same is the true about online shopping and our experience in the past shapes our approach in the present. One thing is for sure and that when it comes to our topic “buy men’s fashion online” it is not for everyone.

The first  thing that newbies are usually scared of most of all is that internet is full of cheaters who are trying to part them from their hard earned money and if that’s not the case then  they’re afraid of unfair practises of unscrupulous merchants who don’t provide decent customer service.

Another thing is that if you’re thinking about buying men’s fashion online you have to take into account that you won’t be able to try that desired outfit you would like to buy and you won’t be able to know how it feels to wear it, if it’s comfortable enough and if it suits you. Thus you have to rely only on your imagination and pictures you can find on the web and let’s face it, the pictures aren’t always as accurate as they should be. Butif  it’s not too much hassle for you, you can still visit your local shop and try your desired outfit there and then get it online for a better price.

Another inconvenience you might come across when you decide to buy men’s fashion online is that if you change your mind or anything goes wrong and you would need to exchange your item or return it, it might be a little bit more complicated than just going to your local shop. However, online merchants have pretty good return policies these days and only obstacles you will have to get over is to contact your merchant about the problem and then send the product back for a refund or an exchange. This might cost you something, but it again comes down to the return policies of different merchants and some of them are even willing to cover your postage expenses.

Before I say something about advantages of online shopping, maybe I should ask you to remember those days when we used to shop from catalogues from the comfort of our own homes as this certainly is one of the assets for anyone who wants to buy men’s fashion online. This might be very convenient ,especially before Christmas for those of you who don’t like crowded places full of stressed people trying to get some presents for their beloved ones. » Read more: Buy Men’s Fashion Online – Pros and Cons
